Frequently Asked Questions

do you accept insurance for therapy?

Yes, I am only IN-NETWORK with BlueCross BlueShield of IL PPO plans & United Healthcare/Optum/UMR insurance.

For other insurances: You can contact your insurance carrier and ask about “OUT-OF-NETWORK” benefits. If you are eligible, then you would pay my full fee for therapy and I would provide a Superbill/Invoice to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Depending on your coverage, they may cover 40-80% of the cost of therapy. I cannot guarantee reimbursement from insurance.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaches and therapists share a common goal: to improve the wellbeing of those they serve. The difference lies in what the client needs.

Coaching is more appropriate if you’re able to function and cope well on a daily basis, but have a desire to improve performance (e.g., work, academics), relationships, or life satisfaction.

Therapy is more appropriate if you’re not able to function and struggle with issues from your past and/or have difficulty coping with stress. These issues affect your daily life skills.
